We’re Emily and Cassidy — writers, researchers, podcast hosts, and longtime money nerds who became real-life best friends after meeting in an online writing course.
Between the two of us, we’ve:
Interviewed hundreds of financial experts
Built successful freelance businesses writing for finance companies
Paid off debt
Navigated marriage, divorce, career pivots, and investing anxiety
And quilted and crocheted more things than strictly necessary
We started The Finance Girlies because we were tired of money advice that felt disconnected from real life.

We’re not financial advisors. We’re not going to throw jargon at you or pretend this is complicated. We’re going to walk you through the basics calmly and clearly — and help you take your first step without needing to feel 100% ready first.
